The proposed project aims to strengthen democratic governance of data processing and protection practices by conducting comprehensive research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement across municipal, regional, and national levels. The key objectives are:
- Assess the current state of data processing and protection practices, both digital and non-digital, by various public and private entities;
- Identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities in existing policies, regulations, and implementation mechanisms;
- Develop actionable recommendations and roadmaps to improve data processing and protection practices, ensuring alignment with democratic principles and inclusive digital transformation; and
- Raise awareness and advocate for policy reforms through private sector engagement and targeted communication of findings to various stakeholders.
