Period: January 15 2026 – October 15 2026
Donor Organization: Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP)
Implementer: Media Diversity Institute
This project aims to address Armenia’s pressing digital security challenges by translating identified problems into concrete, measurable objectives. Building on the four key challenges—cybersecurity threats, capacity gaps, rising hate speech and targeting, and low public awareness—the project will deliver practical support, strengthen resilience, and foster safer digital spaces for civil society organizations, human rights defenders, and their communities.
Objective 1: Strengthen the cybersecurity resilience of at-risk CSOs and HRDs
We will provide tailored digital security support to 12 CSOs and 40 HRDs who are most vulnerable to cyberattacks and digital harassment. Recognizing the heightened risk of hate speech and digital targeting in the run-up to the 2026 elections, the project will support CSOs and HRDs to strengthen their ability to respond effectively.
Objective 2: Reduce capacity gaps in digital security knowledge and skills
To respond to the fast-changing digital threat landscape, the project will deliver needs-based training to 25 HRDs. These training sessions will address gaps identified through risk assessments and consultations, covering critical areas.
Objective 3: Increase public awareness of digital risks and solutions
To broaden the impact beyond direct beneficiaries, the project will produce 10 blog posts addressing key digital risks, emerging challenges, and practical solutions.
