We support the strengthening of digital security for civil society organizations, human rights defenders and activists, as well as media outlets and journalists in Armenia. We also contribute to the security of their digital infrastructure through IT audits and risk assessments.
Media Diversity Institute - Armenia
We strive to leverage the potential of traditional media, social media, and emerging technologies to protect human rights in Armenia

Our activities
The main directions of our activities
We conduct trainings on ethical journalism, diversity-sensitive reporting, working with the media, digital and cybersecurity, personal data protection, fact-checking, as well as artificial intelligence and technology.
We research developments related to internet freedom, personal data protection, freedom of expression, digital incidents, and cyber threats in Armenia, the Caucasus, and Europe, and publish the results in the form of reports.
We advocate for strengthening the legal framework around digital rights and for policy reforms related to internet freedom, freedom of expression, privacy, data protection, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence.
We promote digital literacy, media literacy, and critical thinking, as well as awareness of personal data protection, AI, SEO, and SMM among broad audiences, ranging from journalists and civil society organizations to parents, teachers, youth, and teenagers.
We counter disinformation by developing methodological tools for fact-checking and monitoring, providing reliable and evidence-based information, and collaborating with local and international fact-checking organizations and networks.

About Us
We initiate institutional projects that operate under distinct brands, including CyberHUB-AM, dpHUB-AM, CyberChat, moderAItor, and others.
Media Diversity Institute (MDI Armenia) was founded in 2006 as a branch of the London-based Media Diversity Institute. It is now registered in Armenia as an independent non-governmental organization and operates as a fully autonomous entity.
