CyberHUB-AM

CyberHUB-AM Initiative

IT Support for Civil Society

A Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) operates in Armenia to support NGOs, human rights defenders, activists, journalists, and independent media in addressing incidents related to digital technologies and cybersecurity.

We provide consultation and assistance in cases of digital security incidents, while guaranteeing the confidentiality of those who seek our support.

We also collect and analyze information on cyber incidents and attacks targeting Armenian civil society. This information is gathered anonymously, without identifying those who report incidents, and is used to develop more effective protection and response mechanisms.

Services

CyberHUB-AM was established to support Armenian civil society, human rights defenders, media organizations, and journalists. Over time, the initiative expanded the geographic scope of its activities to include Eastern Europe and post Soviet countries.

IT Audits

We conduct annual IT audits, during which we prepare risk assessment reports and advisory recommendations for organizations. Based on these findings, we provide both direct and indirect support to address identified risks.

Risk Assessment

As part of risk assessments, we examine the operational context of organizations and individuals, review their digital assets and infrastructure, and develop tailored security policies.

Infrastructure Support

Infrastructure support includes the provision and configuration of digital and physical assets such as computers, internal networks, data storage devices, licenses, security cameras, and web resources.

Investigations and Research

Each year we study Armenia’s digital landscape, including cyberattacks, digital vulnerabilities, and cyber campaigns. Based on this research, we publish annual reports.

Trainings

We organize annual and needs based trainings for beneficiary organizations and individuals, focusing on strengthening digital security capacities, physical security, and psychological wellbeing.

Advocacy

We closely monitor legislative initiatives and existing laws related to digital technologies, including proposed amendments and policy developments. Based on this monitoring, we develop policy recommendations and advisory materials for the state and sectoral decision makers.
